Career

Marzia Laura Martinoli has over 20 years of experience in banking, finance and litigation, especially with reference to financial regulations. She has developed a solid knowledge in banking law and financial intermediaries, both in the context of Court proceedings and out-of-Court settlements, as well as with reference to the legislation governing money laundering phenomena and terrorist financing. Furthermore, her experience includes the analysis and implementation of banking/financial products and services, extraordinary transactions involving companies belonging to bank groups, such as the creation of SIMs and SGRs and the transformation of SIMs into banks. The above is also combined with her long-term experience in trials, during which she has worked alongside the renowned attorney Prof. Francesco Galgano in some of the most significant banking and financial proceedings in Italy. Prior to joining Grimaldi Studio Legale, Martinoli worked at Unione Fiduciaria S.p.A. – Società di Servizi delle Banche Popolari Italiane, tasked with advising banks and financial intermediaries, and subsequently at Anderson Worldwide. From 1998 to 2004, she became one of the five founding partners of Studio Legale Galgano in Milan before establishing her own firm, while continuing to cooperate with Professor Francesco Galgano.
