Position

Peter Østerby Mønsted is a director in Plesner’s Data Protection Law team, and specialises in data protection law, ePrivacy law and operational compliance.

Peter provides advice on a broad range of data protection-related issues, including the consequences of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for private entities and public authorities. Peter’s advice often forms part of large-scale compliance projects on behalf of major Danish and international businesses.

Peter was previously seconded to A.P Moller – Maersk for a year, where he was responsible for the implementation of Maersk’s authority-approved Binding Corporate Rules as well as other data protection initiatives.

Peter is also involved in the popular compliance software RISMAgdpr, which supports private entities, public authorities and other organisations in ensuring compliance with the material rules of the GDPR and the Danish Data Protection Act.

Peter has extensive experience of data protection issues relating to adtech and digital marketing, especially with regard to the use of cookies and similar technologies.
