Position

Athina focuses on international arbitration and complicated litigations in matters of civil and commercial law. She also participates constantly in due diligence teams focusing on the examination of pending litigation.

Furthermore, she focuses also on succession law issues, having managed complex family disputes judicially and extra-judicially.

Career

Recent work includes:

  • Cohn Robbins Holdings Corp. (NYSE: CRHC) in connection with the public listing on the NYSE of Allwyn Entertainment (the group-wide brand of SAZKA Entertainment AG) with a total enterprise value of approximately $9.3 billion,
  • Participation in the team representing the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) in an LCIA Arbitration against OPAP’s major shareholder;
  • Participation in the team representing Fraport Greece (Concessionaire of the 14 regional airports) before Technical Dispute Resolution Proceedings as well as before ICC Arbitrations between the Concessionaire and the Hellenic Republic;
  • Participation in the team representing ANEK LINES in an LMAA Arbitration against Minoan Lines;
  • Participation in the team representing “KRITIKA GOLF S.A.” in major litigation against the Municipality of Hersonissos;
  • Participation in the due diligence team (acting for the joint coordinators), focusing on pending litigation, in the recent projects of Lamda Development S.A. share capital increase and the subsequent issuance of the bond loan;
  • Constant participation in due diligence teams, focusing on the examination of pending litigation issues;
  • Management of succession law disputes judicially and extra-judicially;
  • Participation in the team represented a Cypriot bank for the purpose of enforcement of provisional measures for an amount of 3,79 bn. against major Greek entrepreneurs; • Participation in the team represented the sellers of a Greek company with respect to international ICC arbitration as regards issues arising from the SPA.

Recognitions

  • Receipt of the Faculty’s prize as well as of Teufel’s foundation prize for the Dissertation (“Die Voraussehbarkeit als Voraussetzung des Schadensersatzes in der Vertragshaftung”).
  • Receipt of Academy of Athens Prize (A. Tabakopoulos Prize) for an essay on joint-accounts and the rights of the co-beneficiary’s heirs.
