Bernitsas Law is often first on the list for landmark projects and privatisations. Recently, it advised the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF) on the privatisation of the National Train Operating Company, which was sold to Ferrovie Dello Stato. The practice also advised a consortium of bidders, including Transgaz and the EBRD, in the tender for a 66% stake in the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA). Key partners include Dimitris Roussis, Nikos Papachristopoulos and Yannis Seiradakis, who jointly lead the team; Yannis Kourniotis is now at Lambadarios Law Firm.

Dryllerakis & Associates¬†has a long and distinguished track record in this area, and is often involved in the country's largest matters. Recently, it advised the preferred bidding consortium on the ‚ā¨230m agreement for the privatisation of the port of Thessaloniki by HRADF. The firm is also advising Hellenic Casino Parnitha on the relocation of Casino MontParnes, a joint venture between Regency Entertainment and HRADF, from its mountaintop location to an urban site.¬†Emmanuel Dryllerakis¬†leads the team, which also includes¬†Cleomenis Yannikas.

Karatzas & Partners¬†has a 'solutions-oriented' and 'very experienced team with fantastic knowledge of the market'. The firm has an incredibly strong private sector client base and has been involved in several major infrastructure projects including advice to the project company on the Greek leg of the ‚ā¨3bn Trans Adriatic Pipeline project. The firm also acts for lenders on the financing of renewables projects.¬†Alexandros Metallinos¬†and¬†Christina Faitakis¬†have strong standings in the market.

In the past year the firm has been involved in several major renewables deals. Dimitris Assimakis is 'great value', while Vassilis Koroxenidis and Elena Tsohou are both leading players in the market.

PotamitisVekris Law Firm is frequently instructed to advise on major energy and infrastructure projects and PPPs. A significant highlight is advising Euroasia Interconnector as EU-appointed project promoter on the Israel-Cyprus-Greece electricity interconnection. The firm also advised HRADF on the sale of its 66% stake in the Greek gas distributor, DEPA. Alexiou & Kosmopoulos Law Firm¬†handles major privatisations and development projects. The firm advised HRADF on the ‚ā¨231m privatisation of the port of Thessaloniki.
