Bernitsas Law houses ‘recognised experts in the energy sector’. The team advised the lenders on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project, and is assisting Hellenic Petroleum with the international tenders for hydrocarbons exploration and production rights in Greece. Karatzas & Partners is experienced in oil, gas and power, as well as renewables. It is acting as local counsel in the €1.5bn Trans Adriatic Pipeline project, and is advising National Bank of Greece on the financing of four wind farm projects. It advised Parthenio Wind Farm on wind turbine purchase, installation and maintenance agreements with Vestas Hellas. Zepos & Yannopoulos’ ‘very well-organised’ team, which is led by Marina Kolia, advised Snam on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project and the related regulatory framework. It also advised the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy on the drafting of a new code for natural gas licences.

Dryllerakis & Associates’ ‘responsive’ team acted for SOCAR in its certification by the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy. Team head Emmanuel Dryllerakis has ‘very good communication skills’, and John Dryllerakis is ‘experienced, knowledgeable, very energetic and extremely practical’.

KLC Law Firm assists DEPA on a range of matters, including negotiations with upstream gas suppliers, and advises Shell International Trading and Shipping Company on the legal framework regulating the oil sector in Greece.
