Bernitsas Law is an ever-present feature on the domestic energy market, and is regularly involved in its largest transactions and projects. Recent highlights include advising the successful consortium on the purchase of a 66% stake in DESFA from HRADF and Hellenic Petroleum. On the projects side, the firm advised Gastrade on developing the Alexandroupolis Independent Natural Gas System Project. Yannis Seiradakis leads the practice, and Panayotis Bernitsas also enjoys an excellent reputation. Karatzas & Partners is a 'top-tier law firm with extensive experience in energy projects'. The practice is led by Christina Faitakis and Alexandros Metallinos ('a brilliant and sharp legal mind with a deep knowledge of almost every legal field'). Kyriakides Georgopoulos Law Firm 'covers a wide spectrum of expertise and is always available for the exchange of comments and ideas'. The 'professional and hardworking' team is led by the 'very experienced' Gus Papamichalopoulos, who has 'a great deal of initiative and problem-solving skills'. Recently, the team advised a consortium of Italian, Spanish and Belgian investors on the bid for a stake in of DESFA. Zepos & Yannopoulos offers a blend of regulatory, transactional and projects expertise across oil, gas and electricity. In addition, on the contentious, front the firm is representing DEPA several arbitrations, including three against electricity producers, and a fourth regarding gas supply contracts. Anastasia Makri leads the team, following the departure of Marina Kolia, who is now in-house at Mondelēz.

Dryllerakis & Associates has a high-quality practice that, in addition to transactional and projects work, also covers significant regulatory and contentious issues. The team, which is led by Emmanuel Dryllerakis and includes Cleomenis Yannikas, acts for several major clients, including Hellenic Petroleum, Systems Sunlight and Larco.

Fortsakis, Diakopoulos, Mylonogiannis & Associates Law Firm shows 'excellent knowledge of the local energy industry, including institutional, tax and market issues'. Dimitris Diakopoulos and Theodore Fortsakis  have a 'deep scientific background and excellent knowledge of the details of each case'. The firm is advising EPA Attica on a dispute concerning the imposition of fees for its use of publicly-owned land to construct a gas distribution network.

Kelemenis & Co has developed an excellent reputation for regulatory advice to major clients in the renewables, power and hydrocarbons sectors. Yannis Kelemenis has a very good standing in the market.

KLC Law Firm 'makes clients comfortable that complex technical issues will be dealt with by people with in-depth knowledge of the specific area of law'. Thomas Lamnidis leads the high-quality team, which recently advised HRADF on its disposal of a controlling stake in Hellenic Petroleum. Moussas & Partners Attorneys at Law has plenty of experience on the disputes and regulatory front. It has recently advised major gas users, such as Mytilineos Holdings on its dispute with DEPA regarding gas supply contracts. Nicholas Moussas enjoys a strong reputation.

Evangelos Politis leads the well-regarded team at Politis & Partners, which represents clients on inbound and outbound renewables investments. The firm recently advised Eurobank on the €20m refinancing of a wind farm portfolio controlled by the Mytilineos Group.
