Andreas is focused on and has substantial experience with M&A, capital markets and corporate law. He regularly advises industrial and private equity clients in domestic and cross-border transactions. His experience includes both buy and sell side mandates as well as public and private transactions. In addition, Andreas Nielsen also advises on general corporate matters, including shareholder structures and governance matters.

Bruun & Hjejle has 'a strong understanding of how the client thinks and what it needs in an M&A process' and 'takes ownership of issues beyond what you would expect'. Jesper Schultz Larsen leads the practice and advised the founders of Muuto and Maj Invest Equity on Muuto's $1.9bn sale to Knoll. Morten Jensen has 'very strong corporate and M&A skills' and 'is an excellent negotiator'; he assisted AP Møller with its $1.2bn acquisition of Maersk Tankers. Andreas Nielsen is 'an exceptionally good legal adviser' and acted for Swedish Match on its purchase of V2 Tobacco. Mogens Thorninger, is 'accessible', 'very competent' and has 'a broad and deep knowledge of general M&A'; he advised a consortium of pension funds with its acquisition of a $11.6bn stake in Nykredit. Bruun & Hjejle stands out for its energy sector expertise with notable experience in M&A transactions and alternative investments into the space, acting for national and international clients. The group also handles complex energy disputes and assists with regulatory mandates. In a recent highlight, Mogens Thorninger advised on the formation of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners' third infrastructure fund, which will invest in energy projects. Other mandates include Jensen and Jesper Schultz Larsen assisting New Energy Investment with its sale of shares in Ørsted, and practice head Nicolaj Kleist representing Statnett in a dispute before the Danish Energy Board of Appeal relating to the power cable connection between Denmark and Norway. Andreas Nielsen is also a key name for energy-related M&A work.
