Career

With over 20 years’ experience, Pedro Marques Bom is the coordinator of the Competition and EU Law Department at Cuatrecasas.

Between 2013 and 2019, Pedro Marques Bom was Director-General of Investigation at the Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC), overseeing the AdC’s operations, namely antitrust, merger control and litigation.

Pedro Marques Bom was also an Associate Lawyer at other Law Firm (2008-2013); Advisor to the Board of the AdC (2007-2008), Director of the Competition Department at the Portuguese Health Regulation Authority (2006-2007), Legal Officer at the AdC’s Merger Control Department (2003-2006), and Lawyer in private practice (1999 and 2003).

Pedro Marques Bom regularly participates as a guest speaker at conferences and undergraduate or postgraduate studies on competition law and economics, in Portugal and abroad. His work has been published in specialized books and magazines nationally and internationally.
