Sofia Gomes da Costa specializes in structuring transactions involving large real estate portfolios, including forward funding and forward purchase structures, acquisitions with guaranteed profitability, sale-and-leaseback transactions, turnkey contracts, leasing and other forms of implementing office projects, tourism and leisure facilities, commercial centers, and retail parks and outlets. She advises investors and developers, including real estate investment funds and other institutional investors, during the planning and financing stages of their real estate transactions, and on defining and implementing investment structures.

She handles important real estate acquisitions and transactions in Portugal and in other countries, and is an expert in advising on the different real estate investment models.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, she worked at another law firm in Portugal for 29 years.
