Georgia Hicks' practice areas are tax, employment, and sports law. She is particularly highly regarded in the field of employment-related taxes, including: employment status; IR35; taxation of damages and termination payments. She represents a range of private clients (media journalists, football clubs, referee associations, radio DJs) as well as HMRC. Notable recent tax cases include: Professional Game Match Officials Ltd v HMRC [2020] S.T.C. 1077; Tottenham Hotspur v HMRC [2018] 4 WLR 17; R (oao Glencore) v HMRC [2017] 4 WLR 213.
