Position
James is an experienced commercial litigator whose practice spans a broad range of commercial disputes with particular focus on insurance and reinsurance, professional liability and commercial chancery work.
James’ current and recent instructions include defending three former directors against a £320m claim for breach of directors’ duties arising out of the claimant’s entry into three large waste to energy projects; acting for a chain of resorts for business interruption losses as a result of the Covid-19 (offshore); acting for the respondents to an alleged minority prejudice claim pursuant to s.180 of the Isle of Man Companies Act 2006; and acting for insurers in complex claims following alleged thefts of client monies.
