In previous blogs, we wrote about the significant concerns that have been raised with respect to an organization's use of artificial intelligence (AI) systems.

Now, in what is being called a landmark collaboration, a number of international partners including the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security have released Guidelines for Secure AI System Development.

These Guidelines are intended for all providers and stakeholders who use AI systems, whether those systems have been created from scratch or built on top of tools and services provided by others, to build AI systems that function as intended, are available when needed, and work without revealing sensitive data to unauthorized parties.
