中国国家知識産権局は、アイスランド特許庁及びエジプト特許庁との間で、特許審査ハイウェイ（PPH）試行プログラムをさらに5年間延長することで合意に達した。この二つの PPH 試行プログラムは、2024年7月1日から2029年6月30日まで再度延長されることとなる。この中で、中国とアイスランド間のPPHガイドラインはアイスランド特許庁の本部住所の更新が行われたが、その他の手続きや内容に変更はなく、引き続きプログラムに適用される。また、中国とエジプト間のPPH試行プログラムも、以前の中国・エジプトPPHガイドラインに従って運用される。
PPH試行プロジェクトの再延長は、イノベーターたちが自らの特許出願をより迅速に審査されることを可能にし、科学技術の革新と経済発展を促進する良好なサービスを提供する。さらに、この再延長は中国とアイスランド、中国とエジプト間の知的財産分野での交流と協力を一層深めることが期待されている。
