Testimonials
Clerks:
36 Family have the best clerking team headed by the very personable Danny Chapman with best supporting actors Ashley London and Adam Cope. Together they are the dream team and go above and beyond when it comes to being helpful and accommodating. It’s the little things like always getting back to you when they say they will, sending you the court listing the day before so you know which Judge and court room you are in and being flexible on fees, when required.
Adam Cope is my go-to clerk. He is responsive, efficient, personable and knows exactly what I need. He works very hard to pair the right barrister with the client and solicitor, and has never let me down with his recommendations, which have included rising stars as well as respected advocates.
Danny and his team should be proud, they offer a fantastic service. Only today I emailed Ashley London to thank him for his assistance in setting up a remote hearing, which is new territory for us all during the pandemic. Frazer Vye also deserves special mention, he is always on hand to assist as necessary.
I find that the clerks will always explore with you a particular client’s needs and personality to ensure that they are well matched with counsel to suit them.
Danny is head clerk and definitely one that I would go to to give me honest advice on whether a proposed counsel is right for a particular client. They all work really hard to build relations with all levels of lawyers, including paralegals.
Ashley simply cannot do enough for you. He is always finding solutions to practical problems and has honestly saved the day on a few urgent occasions in extending their facilities to assist. Again, he offers complete honestly and I trust him implicitly.
Frazer and Adam are again, amazing and cannot do enough. Frazer has navigated me through the remote hearing situation and arranged many urgent hearings and meetings voluntarily.
Excellent service. Danny Chapman is always a pleasure to deal with and it is wonderful to see his ethos of providing a high-level, but down to earth service, filtering through the entire clerking team. Ashley London is also worthy of note for his friendly professionalism.
Excellent. Always approachable and willing to go out of their way to help you with sourcing a barrister and with the last minute preparations ahead of a hearing. Additionally, they have helped my colleagues and me on several occasions when last minute hearings have cropped up and Counsel is needed urgently and where the availability of Counsel is so limited.
Danny is a force of nature and a real visionary in bringing the chambers forward in a competitive space. He respects technology and development and works harder than almost anyone in the profession.
The Clerks are always polite, professional and helpful. Danny, Ashley and Adam make a formidable team of clerks for the family team and seem to know everything about your case – they have seamless case management and clear dialogue with solicitors to ensure we can provide the best service to our clients.
The clerks are friendly, engaging and brilliant. Steven Newbery understands what solicitors need and has been invaluable – especially in times of dire urgency.
The clerks provide the foundation of the service chambers provide and it is obvious that they have a real knowledge of their barristers and their strengths and weaknesses. You can always trust a recommendation from the clerks. Administratively they deal with papers effortlessly and communicate well. They are also very open on fees which can make all the difference to a client.
The clerking team who cover the 36 Stone group are easy to deal with, knowledgeable and provide every assistance you could wish for.
Excellent at 36 Stone. Very responsive and very commercial in their dealings on fees.
Set:
36 are known for the likeability. Nothing is ever too much trouble for clerks and barristers alike.
36 Family are my go-to set. They have a breadth of expertise to suit every case and client and I find that they are willing to go the extra mile. 36 also offer a fantastic seminar programme, which helps to strengthen connections as well as providing valuable CPD.
36 Family have arrived and are now firmly on the map when it comes to being a top family set. They have a perfect mix of top finance and children barristers.
36 Family is a really good set and I have never been let down. There is always someone available at 36 Family who will do a good job.
36 Group are very user friendly and the clerks are all first rate. They are customer focused and there is an genuine interest and pride that shines through. I believe they have greatly improved their depth of counsel in recent years and have a stable of very capable and stellar juniors.
36 Group have a great depth of good counsel covering almost all fields of legal expertise and have rarely failed over the 30 years since I have used their barristers to provide exactly the right person to advise/represent clients to a very high standard even at short notice
36 Group is a terrific set (I say this as a member of a competitor set!) with a number of absolutely top class performers.
36 Family are a leading set for alternative family law, with an unparalleled depth of experience at their finger tips. It is led by a particularly dynamic team which adapts to face the traditional profession and modern world in one package. They put on training/CPD programmes for solicitors on a range of issues and will always have a barrister available for a call or chat if you have an issue. It really is the Chambers that shows the best of the profession.
A family team of strength and depth. Impressive in litigation and out of court dispute resolution. Always looking at innovative ways to resolve disputes and support clients.
I have always been impressed with 36 Group/Family Chambers and regularly return to them when looking for Counsel. They are all very approachable and easy to deal with. The choice of barristers is solid and I have never had an issue with any of the barristers on my cases. I am also a regular participant in their regular training courses which have been particularly good during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
It has been wonderful to see the set going from strength to strength. I believe that they are now being recognised for the stars that they have and are properly placed amongst the other top sets that I would consider to be their competitors.
The chambers is an excellent set particularly the 36 Stone Group.
