Career
Luis Belart is a partner in Dentons’ Banking and Finance practice in Spain.
Prior to joining Dentons, Luis was a senior associate at Clifford Chance and co-headed the asset finance practice in Madrid.
As a member of the asset finance team in London, Luis has over 15 years of experience advising lenders, corporates, investment funds and sponsors on financing transactions. He has been seconded to both HSBC and ING.
Luis specializes in local and international financing transactions, in particular asset finance, export finance, corporate finance, refinancing, debt restructuring, structured finance, acquisition finance and pre-insolvency situations, as well as liquidity instruments (factoring, discounting, RPAs, etc.).
Luis holds a double degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and in International Business Administration from the European Business School in Madrid, New York and Paris. He also holds an MBA from the IESE Business School in Barcelona (University of Navarra).
