Louisa is a partner in the motor team and joined BLM in 1993.

She has been the department manager for volume motor at the Liverpool office since 2016 and has managed effective teams in this area of work for over 10 years.

Louisa ensures consistent compliance with SLAs and KPIs and works to maximise the performance of the department and to deliver consistently excellent service for key insurance clients.

She has worked alongside clients on specific projects to improve case outcomes, and internally to improve processes for greater efficiency in volume litigation work.

With over 25 years’ experience of handing all aspects of motor litigation she continues to deal with personal injury claims of over £100,000.

Louisa has specialist knowledge of the MOJ portal and ran Jaykishan Patel v Fortis Insurance Limited; the first reported case where an insurer successfully pleaded unreasonable exit to limit claimants’ costs in a part 7 action to fixed MOJ costs. 

She has co-edited  the chapter on the MOJ process for successive editions of Bingham and Berrymans’ Personal Injury and Motor Claims Cases and provided training internally and for clients on this and other aspects of motor litigation.
