Partner; specialises in policy coverage and liability aspects of RTA, public and employers’ liability. Val is nominated nationwide to handle catastrophic injury claims for major insurers. She is the CRP partner for one of the firm’s top 4 clients.

Worked with Civil Justice Council, including participating in sub-committees which introduced fixed recoverable costs, re-examine CFAs and contributing to the work undertaken on rehabilitation. In 2006, appointed to the legal services Consultative Panel, a fore runner to the legal services board, advising the Lord Chancellor on applications relevant to the provision of legal services. Appointed Deputy District Judge on the northern circuit in 1999.
