I joined BLM in 2006, having qualified as a solicitor nearly 30 years ago. As a partner in BLM's Leeds office I deal with a multi-track caseload of medium to high value claims, and have responsibility of supervising junior lawyers on their cases. My previous experience includes working for insurers and private companies undertaking EL/PL and motor work, including high value complex cases, occupiers’ liability claims and industrial accidents. I have recently advised on a claim involving a young man with partial amputation of his dominant hand, which settled for £1.1 million. I am a pro-active lawyer, and am costs conscious and aim to make offers early, where appropriate, to put claimants at risk as to costs at the earliest possible opportunity. I am regarded as a “safe pair of hands” by my clients, who find me helpful and efficient. I also provide training to clients.
