Career
He specializes in highly complex civil, commercial litigation and arbitration (domestic and international), and has experience representing national and foreign companies in the mining, retail, real estate, and construction industries, among others. Also, he has experience in litigation before the Competition Court (TDLC) and in administrative and constitutional proceedings.
As a specialist in insolvency and restructuring procedures, he has successfully led numerous cases involving reorganization and liquidation. His expertise encompasses a variety of insolvency processes, where he has effectively worked on debt restructuring for companies in different sectors.

Dispute resolution group head Sergio Yávar specialises in domestic and international arbitration, in addition to civil and commercial court cases; and Benjamín Ferrada‘s wide-ranging disputes expertise encompasses arbitrations. Guerrero Olivos’ 11-member ‘litigation team is top-notch’. The full-service dispute resolution practice comprises experts in civil litigation, commercial conflicts and cross-border disputes. The group has particular strength in construction and real estate litigation, as well as disputes involving the mining, energy, agribusiness, retail, life sciences, and food and beverage sectors. The practice is led by civil and commercial litigation expert Sergio Yávar, who ‘deserves special recognition for his deep knowledge of the law’; while the recent caseload of the ‘outstanding’ Benjamín Ferrada includes energy and construction disputes.
