Mark’s unique practice is a combination of real estate, public-private partnerships, and public finance, with a particular emphasis on the development, construction, leasing, and financing of public projects, specifically sports stadiums, convention centers, hotels, casinos, recreation/entertainment facilities, and educational facilities. Mark is well-versed in all aspects of commercial real estate development, financing, leasing and construction on behalf of both public entities and private developers. He also has extensive experience in structuring and implementing creative economic development solutions including grants and loans, sales tax revenue financings, and tax abatements.
Mark has an active stadium development practice representing the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority with regard to Minute Maid Park (MLB – Astros), NRG Stadium (NFL – Texans and Livestock Show & Rodeo), Toyota Center (NBA – Rockets), Shell Energy Stadium (MLS – Dynamo) and SaberCats Stadium (MLR – SaberCats). Mark represented the Las Vegas Stadium Authority in the development of Allegiant Stadium (NFL – Raiders) and the proposed Stadium for the Oakland A’s, and represents Empire State Development (NY) on UBS Arena (NHL – New York Islanders), the Maryland Stadium Authority (MLB – Orioles and NFL – Ravens), San Antonio Spurs (Potential New Arena) and Diamond Baseball Holdings (Spartanburg, South Carolina; Columbus, Georgia and Norfolk, Virginia).
