Career

Fernando Lillo, with 25 years’ experience, advises clients on lending and structured finance and is recognized as a leading lawyer in Spain for PPP, PFI, project finance, and in the infrastructure and renewable energy development markets. Fernando's recent representations involve renewable energy (wind parks, mini hydraulic, biomass, cogeneration, bioethanol, solar and thermal solar plants), and infrastructure projects (toll roads, highways, parking lots, wastewater treatment plants, hospitals, prisons, public buildings, sports centers, hotels and nursing homes), including administrative concessions. His experience encompasses all types of credits, loans, and security packages in project, corporate, acquisition, export and asset financing. Fernando advises local and international lenders, promoters and investors in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors, including the acquisition of permits and assets, assistance in development phase, project financing and finally the sale of projects. Fernando recently advised a foreign infrastructure fund in the acquisition of several infrastructure assets in Spain; a Spanish construction and services group in the financing and refinancing of various transport infrastructures; a Spanish developer in the sale of an 850 MW portfolio of photovoltaic plants to various investment funds; and a Spanish construction and services group in the acquisition, financing, export and operation of certain rolling stock in Uruguay.
