In recent highlights, the firm acted for international confectionery company Lindt & Sprüngli in a complaint to the Ministry of Health to prevent an authorised seller from selling expired products, and represented Compañia Distribuidora (CODISA) in an anti-counterfeiting action relating to its Magia Blanca product. The team also advises Universidad del Valle de Guatemala on the protection of spinoffs launched by students and professors.

Carlos Rafael Pellecer leads the team at A. D. Sosa & Soto, which acts for national and international clients in civil and commercial litigation, including contract enforcement and debt collection procedures. The team recently represented Compañía Distribuidora Internacional (CODISA), the distributor of Hershey's products in Guatemala, in a dispute over the distribution agreement, as well as acting for Procter & Gamble in debt recovery cases. Other areas of expertise include constitutional, administrative and IP disputes and white-collar crime cases.
