Managing Associate

Ridhiima is a managing associate in Ogier's Investment Funds and Corporate teams in Dubai with a practice covering Cayman Islands law.

She advises on the establishment, launch and maintenance of investment funds including registered mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity funds. She also provides advice on corporate matters and has in-depth experience with the migration of vehicles into and out of the Cayman Islands, terminations and licensing.

In addition, Ridhiima is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She specialises in structuring advice, fund formation, advising on ongoing fund operation including regulatory compliance with experience advising on term extensions, wind-down and termination.

She is also part of Ogier's Technology and Web3 sector group with experience in the set-up, launch and termination of digital asset funds.

Ridhiima regularly works with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority with regards to funds registration / de-registration and has experience advising on securities registration and licensing. She also advises on general corporate and commercial matters.

In 2017, Ridhiima completed a six-month secondment to Ogier's Jersey office working within the Funds and Finance team, where she assisted with funds regulatory matters with the JFSC and also on Jersey Property Unit Trusts.

Ridhiima is a member of 100 Women in Finance, the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association and a former Council Member of the Caymanian Bar Association. She was formerly Director and Vice-Chairperson of the United World College - Cayman Islands Board and previously a member of the board of directors of the Cayman Islands Special Economic Zones Authority.
