Liz provides legal advice to employers and trustees on both strategic and day-to-day pensions issues, such as scheme amendments, closures and winding-up, risk management, pension scheme design, scheme governance and the pensions aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions.  She has expertise in relation to schemes in the private, public and charity sectors, including final salary schemes, money purchase arrangements and master trusts.  With many years of pensions experience, Liz has a track record of providing high quality, commercial advice to her clients in a clear and approachable style.  She is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI), she has passed the PMI’s Award in Pension Trusteeship and she is current Chair of the Yorkshire regional group of the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association.

Liz is “highly regarded” according to Legal 500, and a client is quoted in Chambers 2016 as saying that she has “a brain the size of a planet”.

“Hard as it may be to believe, there really never is a dull moment in pensions! The last 20 years have transformed pensions law into a highly regulated and complex specialism, and the pace of change shows no sign of slowing down any time soon. This creates challenges and opportunities for trustees and employers alike, and I enjoy helping my clients navigate through the legal and technical complexities as smoothly and successfully as possible. I want my clients to feel that I am genuinely part of their team, whether for key strategic projects or routine day-to-day queries, and that I understand their needs.”
