Jason is a leading practitioner with over 25 years of multi-jurisdictional experience within his specialist area of trade marks and branding. His expertise covers related aspects of intellectual property (e.g. copyright, designs, passing off, Fair Trading Act issues, anti-counterfeiting) but his passion lies in brand strategy, brand development, brand protection and commercialisation.

Jason acts for a wide range of clients across many different types of industry (for instance those involved in SaaS, technology, fashion, insurance, pharmaceuticals, food and FMCG), including many well known New Zealand brands. Jason is a member of IPSANZ and INTA – where he has participated in INTA committees (namely Domain Disputes, Ownership & Whois, Indigenous Rights and Geographical Indicators). He also leads the firm’s participation in the University of Auckland’s Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship ‘Velocity’ incubator programme.
