Founding Partner

Ichsan Perwira Kurniagung is a Founding Partner of FKNK Law Firm. He earned both his Bachelor of Law and Master of Law degrees from the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia, majoring in Business Law. Prior to co-founding FKNK, he worked at one of Indonesia’s largest law firms for over five years.

Ichsan has extensive experience in high-profile legal matters, having handled numerous cases and transactions across capital markets, banking, transnational syndicated loans, mergers and acquisitions, anti-trust proceedings, commercial litigation, arbitration, and infrastructure projects within Public-Private Partnership schemes.

With deep expertise in corporate law, he regularly advises financial technology and e-commerce companies, and has been recognized with numerous national and international accolades, including: 50 Up-and-Coming Future Legal Leaders by Asian Business Law Journal (2023), Notable Practitioner in Restructuring & Insolvency by IFLR1000 (2023), Recommended Lawyer in Restructuring & Insolvency by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2024), Top 6 Finalist – Dispute Resolution Lawyer of the Year at the ALB Indonesia Law Awards (2024)

Ichsan has represented a wide range of clients, including government bodies, SOEs, foreign institutions, multinational and local companies, and public figures—such as PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, the U.S. Department of Justice, Pertamina Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi, PT BNI Asset Management, PT Ancora Indonesia Resources Tbk, the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Bank CIMB Niaga, Genting Plantation Berhad Group, BIFZA, the Ministry of Transportation, BASF Indonesia, Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk, and the musician Iwan Fals.

He is a licensed Capital Market Legal Consultant (registered with OJK) and is also registered as a Legal Consultant with Bank Indonesia for the issuance of commercial papers. Ichsan serves as Vice Chairman of the Financial Sector Legal Consultants Association (HKHSK), Secretary General of the Indonesian Advocates Association (AAI) South Jakarta, and an executive committee member of the Indonesian Administrator and Receiver Association (IKAPI). He currently serves as Chairman of the Pangudi Luhur Alumni Association (IKA-PL).

In 2018, Ichsan was selected to represent Indonesia in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) hosted by the U.S. Government. Under this prestigious program, he received training in capital market regulation and project development from top U.S. regulators, agencies, and industry professionals.
