Founding Partner

Widyantoro Kurnia is a Founding Partner of FKNK Law Firm. He earned his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Indonesia in 2006, majoring in Business Law. His legal career began at one of Indonesia’s leading law firms, followed by a role as in-house counsel at a prominent Indonesian holding company. In 2007, he joined a renowned Malaysian law firm, where he worked in Kuala Lumpur before being entrusted to lead its Indonesian representative office in Jakarta.

With more than 15 years of legal experience, Widyantoro has built a strong reputation in handling a wide range of corporate and regulatory matters. His practice focuses on corporate and investment, mergers and acquisitions, energy and natural resources and employment. He also advises on legal issues relating to technology, media and telecommunication (TMT) and foreign and domestic investment, with particular depth in advising government institutions, state-owned enterprises, multinational companies, and technology startups.

He has represented notable clients such as PT Vale Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk, PT Medco E&P Indonesia, PT Medco E&P Malaka, PT Dwi Cermat Indonesia (Cermati), PT Artha Dana Teknologi (Indodana), JOB Pertamina Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi, DKI Jakarta Water Resources Office, Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA), and Perum Percetakan Negara Republik Indonesia (PNRI), among many others.

Widyantoro also actively collaborates with international law firms, including DMD Advocates in India and Cogito Law Office in Taiwan. He holds a license as a certified government goods and services procurement professional and is a registered advocate with the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).

His work and leadership have been recognized through multiple accolades, including being named a Recommended Individual Lawyer by Hukumonline’s In-House Counsel Choice in 2022, 2023 and 2024, selected as one of the “50 Up-and-Coming Future Legal Leaders” by Asia Business Law Journal in 2023, and being recognized as "Highly Regarded Lawyer" in mergers and acquisition by IFLR1000 in 2023 and 2024.
