Donal specialised in domestic and international commercial litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution with a particular focus on company, partnership, trust and tax disputes which had a complex or international dimension to them.

Donal was a pioneer in the field of reputation management, brand protection, cyber bullying, defamation and privacy claims brought by or in relation to businesses, business owners, politicians, celebrities and sportsmen (having obtained the world’s first injunction to be served via Twitter in 2009).

He prided himself on being a proactive, innovative, tenacious and commercially-minded lawyer who acted as “consigliere” for high net-worth individuals and business owners in the United Kingdom and overseas, Donal has been described by his clients as “a rottweiler” and someone who you would rather have on your side than against you.

Donal is also admitted to practice in the British Virgin Islands (2004).
