Position
Adam concentrates on employment and discrimination matters. Work has included many Tribunals, actual and threatened judicial reviews about student fees, the interpretation of the University’s own Statutes and their interaction with laws and regulations, alleged race and other discrimination, intellectual property disputes, injunctions against aggressive students, staff or third parties, advice on governance issues, and responding to enquiries/investigations by outside bodies such as the Equality Commission and regulators. He worked with the University’s Information Manager on Freedom of Information and DPA requests and possible appeals to the Information Tribunal. More generally, Adam is frequently involved in defending Tribunal claims covering the full spectrum of employment law rights.
He works with wide range of public and private sectors on TUPE/Service Provision Change often involving public procurement processes, whether for the public authority, the transferor/transferee or the employees. Adam advises both employers and individuals on high level internal disputes, and on restrictive covenants, sometimes involving injunctions.
