Career

Anja advises clients on civil, corporate, financial and IP law. With more than 15 years of experience in managerial and executive positions in companies and as a member of supervisory boards (Airport Ljubljana, d.d., Krka d.d.), she has gained in-depth legal and business knowledge in the areas of asset management, pension funds, financial and insurance law and corporate governance. Since 2018, Anja has been working as an attorney-at-law advising Slovenian and foreign clients on M&A transactions, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, insolvency matters, banking and insurance matters, as well as on other complex legal transactions.

Anja is an associate professor of civil and commercial law at the European Law Faculty of the New University in Ljubljana. She teaches corporate law, intellectual property law and law of obligations. She has been granted the status of an attorney – at – law specialist in civil and commercial law by the Slovenian Bar Association.

Anja is a court appointed interpreter for English language and also speaks Slovenian, French, German and Croatian.

She‘s authored and co-authored many expert articles and monographs in the field of company and insurance law, among others:

  • Joint stock company with one-tier management system (monograph), Publishing House of Nova univerza, Ljubljana, 2019 (with the author’s contributions by dr. Krešimir Puharič and Domen Romih).
