Almost all clients are internationally operating companies from the industrial sector (many of them are well-known and global players in their sector) with revenues in the hundreds of millions of Euros.
The team
Managing Partner Dr Hannes Burger and his team have been specialized in intellectual property rights for many years and are nationally and internationally active in prosecution as well as litigation regarding the field of IP.
Dr Hannes Burger is very experienced in confiscation of patent-infringing products and enforcement of rights in China and in IP negotiations with companies on site in e.g. the USA, Great Britain and South Korea.
Founding Partner Dr Clemens Ofner knows how to manage several thousand national and international trademark and design patent applications in more than 100 countries and is experienced in trademark law proceedings e.g. before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg and in advising Austrian and Swiss clients during lawsuits (trademark and competition law) in Germany.
Partner Dr Katarina Casals Ide is also experienced in license negotiations with American companies and has a post-graduate degree in Intellectual Property at the University of Alicante (Spain) leading to the qualification “Máster en Propiedad Industrial, Intelectual y Derecho de la Sociedad de la Información”.
Head of Litigation and Managing Partner of ABP in Munich/Germany Dr. Eike Schaper strengthens the team especially with his experience in the field of competition law with a focus on litigation. Dr Schaper bears the title Maîtrise en droit privé (Université Montesquieu, Bordeaux, France) and is active as a lecturer at the “DeutscheAnwaltAkademie” in Germany for their seminar on patent infringement proceedings.
