Cristiano Caumont Caimi regularly advises corporate and private clients in relation to tax audits, pre-litigation proceedings, tax litigation up to the Supreme Court level, ruling requests, MAPs and APAs, in domestic and/or international tax matters. He has successfully concluded sizeable refund procedures, administrative and judicial, for tax withholdings unduly suffered in Italy by multinational groups and foreign funds. Cristiano also assists private clients, both Italian and foreign, in relation to relocations, wealth management, trusts and estate planning.

Among his main clients are banks and financial institutions, investment funds, Italian and foreign industrial groups, high net worth families and family offices.

Joined the Firm in 2002, equity partner since 2009.

Research Associate at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, Amsterdam (2000-2002).

Previous experience as an Associate with another leading Italian law firm.

Cristiano is a member of the Legal and Tax Policies Working Group of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy and of the Tax Law Commission of the Milan Bar Association.

He was a member of the Commission of Experts for Tax Litigation appointed in 2023 by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to advise on implementation of the reform of the tax trial procedures.

A regular speaker at tax conferences and seminars, he is the author of numerous contributions on tax matters for domestic and international specialist journals.
