Ms Yuliya Chumachenko
Yuliya Chumachenko is a Partner at AEQUITAS and specializes in labour, civil, contract, marriage and family, maritime, antimonopoly and investment law. Before joining AEQUITAS in 1997, she worked as a civil law counselor to a number of companies.
Ms. Chumachenko is a lead lawyer on labor and family law matters and possesses extensive expertise in the field of corporate and contract relations, healthcare and securing of obligations. She is also experienced in advising on maritime law matters, including registration and re-flagging of sea vessels, and has been continually representing companies in litigations/arbitrations.
Ms. Chumachenko is currently concentrating on contract and labor law issues, deal structuring and various matters related to the legal support of business in Kazakhstan. She is also supervising interaction with governmental agencies in the areas of her specialization.
According to international rating publications Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal, Yulia Chumachenko is among Kazakhstan’s best lawyers in labor law.
She is the author of many articles and publications on various aspects of civil, labor, merchant shipping and healthcare legislation published in local and foreign periodicals.
She also serves as an arbitrator for the International Arbitration Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan (IAC), Center for International and Domestic Arbitration of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and International Arbitration Tribunal of the IUS Legal Center.
