Claudio Marcello Leonelli

Claudio deals with copyright law and in this field he carries out both judicial and extrajudicial activities. He has a long and consolidated experience in book publishing, magazine publishing, music publishing and production, television and movies production, and any other field in which intellectual works are involved, including where these intersect with new technologies and artificial intelligence. For several years, he has coordinated a tourism law team, assisting Italian and foreign clients operating in the Italian market. Claudio began his professional activity in Studio Leonelli, one of the first Italian firms dedicated to copyright law, founded by his father and active in Rome since the early 1960s. He took the reins in 1999 and moved its head office to Milan, expanding its activities and thus establishing the firm ‘Leonelli & Partners’, which he managed until its merger into LCA in 2023. Since 2015, his firm has also been permanently involved, among the first, in Tourism Law. He was extraordinary administrator of the “Ente Regionale per i Servizi Universitari dell’Umbria”, and then chairman of the board of directors of the “Agenzia per il Diritto alla Studio Universitario”. He was a member of the board of directors of the Italian University for Foreigners in Perugia.

Antonella has gained significant experience assisting Private Equity houses and multinational corporations in M&A transactions, providing tax due diligence (buy side and sell side), tax modelling and tax structuring assistance. She has gained, in particular, extensive knowledge of real estate taxation due to involvement in significant real estate investment and/or disposal projects by funds and other entities (companies, trusts, individuals), both Italian and non-Italian. She has also been engaged with tax litigation.

Since 2022, he has been Of Counsel at LCA. Edoardo is a Lawyer and Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Milan Bicocca. He also teaches administrative law, innovation law and artificial intelligence law. Since March 2023, he has been Admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court. By Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers of 13 October 2023, Edoardo was appointed by the Italian Government as one of the thirteen members of the Coordination Committee for the updating of national strategies on the use of artificial intelligence in support of the Undersecretary of State for Technological Innovation and Digitalisation Sen. Alessio Butti. Since March 2021, he has been Legal Adviser to the Data Protection Authority, until joining (October 2023) the Government Coordination Committee for the update of national strategies on the use of artificial intelligence. In October 2023 he was elected by the City Council of Milan, by a two-thirds majority, Component of the Committee of Guarantors of the City of Milan. Since December 2021, he has been a Fellow of the Research Centre in Public Law and Policy at the Berkeley School of Law – University of California, with a research assignment on the legal profiles of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. As a lawyer, he has gained significant experience in all major regulatory areas of public law. He is particularly interested in public law issues of economics and technological innovation in services, with a specific focus on data protection, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
