Career
Tamta Ivanishvili joined BLC in 2008 as a paralegal and was promoted to partnership in 2020. Her practice areas include corporate law, M&A, restructuring and finance law. She is a leading lawyer in capital markets in the country. Tamta is also involved in litigation and commercial arbitration. She has experience of acting as an arbitrator on various commercial disputes. Tamta has been involved in most of the major capital markets and financing transactions handled by the firm over the last decade. She is also very active in policy making and often acts as an expert for various policy initiatives related to financial regulations.
Prior to joining BLC in 2008, Tamta interned in the Chamber of Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court of Georgia and in the legal department of the Georgian National Communications Commission. Her working experience also includes the position of a lawyer in the non-governmental organization New Generation – New Initiative.
