Career
Natalia is counsel in Freshfields’ international arbitration group in New York. Natalia has extensive experience in investment and commercial disputes in Latin America and other emerging markets across a variety of sectors, including telecommunications, mining, O&G, infrastructure, financial services and aviation. She has acted as counsel in more than 15 high profile commercial and investment treaty arbitration proceedings under ICC, DIS, ICSID, ICSID Additional Facility and UNCITRAL rules, in both English and Spanish.
Natalia is an active member of the international arbitration community, also serving as a mentor for female associates at the firm, and is frequently invited by leading arbitral institutions to speak on international arbitration topics. She was named a ‘Rising Star’ by Law360 in 2017, recognizing her as one of just three outstanding arbitration practitioners in the nation under the age of 40. In 2021, Natalia was recognized by Who’s Who Legal as one of the Future Leaders in the field of international arbitration.
Natalia received her law degree from the University of Buenos Aires, a degree in Spanish law from Universidad de Alcalá and her Master of Law and Business MLB from Bucerius Law School and Otto Beisheim School of Management, Germany. Natalia is admitted to the bar in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant in New York State and the District of Columbia. She speaks English, Spanish, French and German.
