Position

Eric is a dispute resolution partner in Fieldfisher’s Brussels office and he is also the founder of the Brussels office in 2007.

Career

Eric specialises in complex litigation with a particular focus on distribution, real estate related disputes, directors’ liability, shareholders’ disputes and business criminal law.

He has a deep knowledge of the automotive sector and of the retail industry.

Eric has represented a major automotive distributor whose branch had been appointed exclusive distributor of electric bicycles in more than 30 countries. The vehicles were hugely dysfunctional and the French distributor (which had tight links with the grantor) owed his client substantial amounts. The branch had lost over €6mio in just 18 months.

He has launched various legal proceedings (seizure, action on the merits based on the ill quality of the products, etc.) and has entered into a negotiation to help the client to terminate this unprofitable agreement at no cost.
