Rune Tjomsås Andersen

Partner. Andersen specialises in tax law and company law and has broad experience in these fields in both the public and private sectors. He has in-depth expertise on petroleum and energy taxes, property tax, general corporate taxation and international tax law. He has worked in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance’s Tax Law Department and has extensive experience of law-making and committee work. Over the past 25 years, Andersen has assisted national and international clients in a variety of business sectors with matters relating to tax and tax law. He works primarily in the field of transactions, mergers and demergers, acquisitions, tax law, transfer pricing, property tax, contract negotiation, dispute resolution, tax administration law and company law. Sarah Haugvad Andresen

Lawyer. Sarah Haugvad Andresen is a part of Arntzen de Besche’s litigation and dispute resolution team. She also assists clients with matters related to Environment, Social and Governance (ESG). Due to her broad expertise within these areas, she makes valuable contributions to complex and multidisciplinary projects. She assists Norwegian and foreign clients with various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, negotiations and general business law counselling. She possesses broad expertise within contract law, law of damages and company law, and has been involved in multiple due diligence processes, investigations related to financial regulatory compliance requirements, and extensive contractual and tortious matters. Additionally, Sarah has in-depth knowledge of matters related to sustainability (ESG), particularly within compliance and reporting obligations. Senior Associate. Behncke assists Norwegian and foreign clients with various forms of dispute resolution, including litigation, negotiations and general business law counselling. He possesses broad expertise within contract law, law of damages and insurance law, and has been involved in several extensive and complex disputes before the courts. Behncke has considerable experience of cases relating to professional liability and directors’ liability. In addition to his involvement in sizeable litigation assignments concerning directors’ liability and management liability, he has written an article on mitigation of directors’ liability pursuant to Section 17-2 of the Limited Liability Companies Act, published in Norwegian legal journal “Tidsskrift for erstatningsrett, forsikringsrett og trygderett” (journal for law of damages, insurance law and social security law). Behncke is also part of the professional liability team, which handles a number of cases against different kinds of professional practitioners, and has particular expertise in the area of auditor’s liability. Within insurance, Behncke’s assistance includes assessment of cover, filing of claims to insurance companies and handling of disputes associated with various types of insurance cover. He has particular experience of D&O insurance and professional liability insurance. Behncke also gives lectures on these subjects.

Frida May Behrens

Senior Lawyer. Behrens works mainly with public procurement and competition law, as well as general EU/EEA law. She assists national and international clients, as well as Norwegian public authorities, in participating in or carrying out procurement processes. The bulk of Behrens’ clients are on the supplier side. She assists with quality review of bids, review of tender documents, and in negotiations and tender evaluations, in addition to assistance in complaints and access to file processes before the public authorities, the Norwegian Complaints Board for Public Procurement (KOFA) and Norwegian courts. Behrens assists national and international clients across the whole range of competition law issues, including notification of concentrations to the Norwegian Competition Authority. Her particular area of focus is anti-competitive collusions and abuses of dominance. In addition to examinations and assessments of potential anti-competitive conduct, she has assisted in several competition law cases brought before the Norwegian courts. Behrens is a dedicated advisor with a commercial understanding who is keen to give her clients concise and practical advices.

Partner. Bergli has extensive experience as an advisor and legal representative in connection with transactions and property projects. He assists not only with the buying, selling and leasing of commercial property, but also with development projects and other matters relating to commercial property and residential property projects. Marianne Raa Bjaaland

Partner. For the past decade, Bjaaland has assisted major residential property developers to structure and complete construction projects from the purchasing phase right through to the sale of individual homes. For her, it is important to view the project in its entirety and assess the various risk factors. She is assiduous in her follow-up of cases. Bjaaland takes pains to ensure that her advice is legally well founded and addresses each client’s commercial interests. Bjaaland has built up considerable experience of property structuring, construction contracts, unitisation and use of the housing cooperative model. She has in-depth knowledge of construction contract law and issues relating to property management and operation for both commonhold and cooperative housing associations. For the past ten years, she has undertaken many assignments in the general field of residential property and tenancy law, planning and building law and real estate agency law. She has extensive experience from both the public and private sector. Having previously worked in government administration, she is familiar with political processes, how laws are amended and communication with stakeholders. Bjørk assists employers and employees with advice, investigations/inquiries, negotiations and advocacy in connection with the termination of employment relationships, reorganisations and business transfers. He provides strategic advice on non-compete clauses and bonus, share-based and other incentive schemes. In addition, he provides general legal advice on business and sports law. Bjørk has extensive experience of negotiating solutions to individual and collective workplace disputes and litigating such cases in courts of law. Sven has previously worked as a lawyer with the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and DNB’s employment law department. From his time at DNB, he has experience and expertise relating to practical, in-house HR processes and employment law related to reorganisations, personnel cases and the handling of whistleblower cases. Experience from several sides of the labour market means that Bjørk can quickly understand the client’s needs and see the practical consequences of the advice he gives. Ingeborg Moen Borgerud

Partner. Mrs Borgerud is admitted to the Supreme Court in Norway. Borgerud primarily provides legal assistance to several of the major Norwegian companies regarding different labour and pension related issues. She also assists employers and employees with general advice, reports, negotiations and litigation in connection with dismissals, restructurings, separations and transfer of undertakings, equality, harassment etc. As chairperson of the Working Environment Act Committee, she took part in forming the basis for the current Working Environment and Worker’s Protection Act. Kurt A. Elvevoll

Partner. Elvevoll has extensive experience from building and construction law and adjacent areas of law such as planning and building law. He has assisted both public and private builders, contractors, consulting engineers and architects. He assists in projects from the competitive phase, through the construction phase, to the final settlement and in the event of disputes before the courts. Jon Reidar Gresseth

Partner. Gresseth has extensive experience of complex procurement processes and major commercial fabrication contracts in both the public and private sectors. It is in the combination of these two legal fields that his specialist expertise lies. He has extensive experience of public procurement processes, ICT contracts and major construction projects. In additional to specialist expertise in traditional procurement forms and construction contract models, he has in recent years built up a unique competence with respect to innovative procurement processes and construction contract models. This applies particularly to partnering contracts and integrated project delivery (IPD) contracts. In fact, Gresseth led the AdeB team that drew up the first three IPD contracts in Norway: the Tønsberg Project , Nye Veier AS and the new psychiatric unit at St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim. Gresseth has led several major projects that have been both time-critical and complex, and he has ensured that the team executes the assignments on schedule and to a high professional standard. Christopher Hestnes

Partner. Hestnes provides day-to-day advice to clients needing expertise in the fields of intellectual property law, technology, IT, media and marketing. His assistance encompasses the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property and industrial rights, such as copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and protection from knockoff/counterfeit products. Lars Horgen Hinze

Partner. Hinze works primarily with M&A, offerings and other equity transactions and advises both Norwegian and international clients. Erlend Husebye Haug

Rune Njøs Jacobsen

Partner. Njøs Jacobsen has extensive experience of the law of torts and insurance law, having served as legal advisor to Norwegian and international companies, other businesses and private clients. Njøs Jacobsen assists clients with matters relating to tort law, professional liability, directors’ liability and vehicular liability. He is a highly experienced advisor with respect to the framing of insurance terms and conditions, insurance settlements, loss adjustment, legal opinions and in-court advocacy. Simon Karim Jynge

Hans Henrik Kværne

Tor Kristian Lånke

Kjersti Lerkerød

Partner. Kjersti Lerkerød is specialized within construction law and dispute resolution. Se has extensive experience with contract negotiations, legal assistance in ongoing projects and final account disputes within the building and construction sector. Kjersti has represented clients in both district and appeal courts, and completed and won her first qualifying test case for the Supreme Court in 2022. Marianne Lutterloh Ljones

Senior Lawyer. Ljones has many years’ experience of assisting Norwegian and international clients in both the public and private sectors with a range of issues in the fields of technology, privacy/data protection and employment law. Ljones’ combination of expertise in employment law and privacy/data protection makes her particularly well equipped to understand the links between and importance of the various legislative provisions. She has extensive experience of framing and adjusting contracts and other necessary documentation to employment and data protection regulations. She is also experienced in assessing the roles of data controller and data processor, and making commercial adjustments in this respect. Agathe Løwenborg

Partner. Wenche Maartmann-Moe

Partner. Maartman-Moe specialises in dispute resolution and contract law. She has particular experience of fabrication contracts (construction) and professional liability. Odd-Harald B. Wasenden

Partner. Wasenden is acknowledged as one of Norway’s foremost legal experts in the field of renewable energy and climate law. He is a Doctor of Laws from the University of Oslo and wrote his doctoral thesis on the energy market. He has over 20 years’ experience as a practising lawyer, with renewable energy as his specialist field. As an advisor to the energy sector, Wasenden has assisted a number of Norwegian and international enterprises on contractual and compliance matters, as well as contact with the authorities, in connection with both transactions and disputes.
