Sam Corbett is a partner in A&L Goodbody’s Restructuring & Insolvency group in Belfast. He specialises in all aspects of business recovery and insolvency related matters and has extensive experience acting for local and national banks, financial institutions, funds, creditors and insolvency practitioners. Sam has acted on a number of high profile corporate restructurings in Northern Ireland in recent years. Sam is also an adept litigator and specialises in advising financial institutions and banks on financial services and insolvency related litigation. Sam actively prosecutes and defends many litigation cases at the Commercial Court and Chancery Court in Northern Ireland.

- Johnston Press Plc on the administration of the Group and Pre-Packaged Sale of its business and assets to bondholders
- EY as Administrators of McErlain’s Bakery (Magherafelt) Limited (Genesis Crafty)
- KPMG as special liquidators of IBRC which is currently the largest, most complex and cross jurisdictional insolvency on the island of Ireland
- Quinn Group on all aspects of its corporate restructuring of debt in the region of circa €1.3 billion
