On June 28, the Italian DPA prohibited an employer from any further processing of data collected through geolocation devices installed in company vehicles. The DPA also required the geolocation service provider to render its services fully compliant with the GDPR. The GDPR violations included not informing data subjects about the continuous monitoring of their working activity and monitoring non-work activities.
