Claudia Jackson is a partner in Bowmans’ Johannesburg office Shipping, Aviation and Logistics Practice.

Most of Claudia’s practice involves complex, multijurisdictional insurance related disputes with a particular focus on financial lines, catastrophe and aviation insurance. In those sectors, she advises insurers, reinsurers and corporate insureds.

Claudia’s practice also includes general commercial disputes in the insurance and aviation sectors.

The majority of Claudia’s instructions emanate from the Lloyds and South African aviation insurance markets. These include coverage advice, subrogated recoveries and defences and regulatory advice and product development.

Claudia has managed matters arising in over 20 jurisdictions in Africa.

She has an LLB from the University of the Witwatersrand, BA and MA degrees from Cambridge University, UK, and an LLM and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution from the University of London, UK.
