Career

Dean Bennett is a partner in Appleby’s Corporate Group in the Cayman Islands.

Recognised as a key practitioner in each of his practice areas, Dean advises on a wide variety of corporate, securities and finance transactions with a particular focus on equity offerings (including SPAC offerings), private and public mergers and acquisitions (including deSPACing transactions and regulated M&A involving the acquisition and disposal of Cayman licensed insurers and fiduciary businesses), insurance and reinsurance, and derivatives, structured products and repurchase and securities lending transactions.

Dean is experienced with ISDA and other industry standard trading and collateral documentation and regularly advises both the sell and buy-side on netting, collateral and insolvency issues.

Dean is also a member of Appleby’s technology and innovation group, supporting clients working on blockchain, AI, fintech and other emerging technologies.
