Career

Daniel Bachmann is active in mergers and acquisition transactions (M&A), succession planning and corporate and commercial law. He advises on all types of commercial contracts, in particular with regard to export and distribution, as well as on competition, corporate governance and legal compliance related matters. Daniel has broad experience in corporate restructurings as well as in succession planning with a special focus on family internal and external succession in entrepreneurial companies. As notary public of the Canton of Solothurn, he also provides notarial services for both corporates and natural persons. He is a member of the board of several Swiss companies.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Daniel worked for more than twenty years in a big four consulting firm as partner and head of the legal services department in Berne and in various other functions. He previously was legal counsel and executive board secretary of von Roll Holding AG, and as such also worked in the USA.

Daniel studied law at the University of Berne and acquired a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the University of Zurich.

Daniel is admitted to the bar. He is member of the Chambers of Commerce of the Cantons of Solothurn and Berne as well as of the Swiss-Japanese Chamber of Commerce (SJCC).
