Jay qualified in 1999; Parlett Kent 1999-2013; Partner from 2005; Barcan Woodward 2013-2015; Barcan+Kirby 2015 to date.

Jay joined the Medical Negligence team at Barcan+Kirby in May 2013 and was promoted to Senior Associate in 2015. She has a wealth of experience across a range of injury types, with particular expertise in complex brain injury claims and cases involving, spinal injury ophthalmology and amputation.. Her experience in dealing with complex cases gives her a unique insight into clients’ needs. Jay has played a pivotal role in developing the court of protection department at Barcan+Kirby and has also acted as a professional deputy for clients who lack capacity as a result of injuries following accidents or medical negligence.
