Maciej Georg is head of the Financing Transactions Desk in Bird & Bird’s Warsaw office.
Career
Since 1997 he has been working in Polish and international law firms. He specialises in advising on property financing transactions, as well as corporate, acquisition and leveraged finance projects, acting for both domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions, as well as for entities acting as borrowers. Maciej also represents domestic and foreign contractors in public procurement proceedings, and in related litigations before the National Appeal Chamber and common courts.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw.

At Bird & Bird Szepietowski i wspólnicy sp. k., the finance and financial regulation practice is divided into two sub-groups: one is focused on advising financial institutions on financial regulatory and fintech issues and is led by Sławomir Szepietowski, while the other is headed up by Maciej Georg and handles financing transactions, advising both lenders and borrowers on domestic and cross-border mandates, especially those regarding real estate assets.
