Career

Mr. Zhang is a partner, resident in the Beijing office.  Mr. Zhang’s practice focuses on contentious and non-contentious business in relation to intellectual property(Litigation and non-litigation), Antitrust, Dispute Resolution.

Mr. Zhang joined Haiwen in 2018. Before that, Mr. Zhang worked in State Intellectual Property Office (“SIPO”, now “National Intellectual Property Administration”) as director of the Legal Affairs Division of Examination Department, SIPO Government Lawyer, and Senior (Grade II) Examiner.  Mr. Zhang was admitted to the Bar of the People’s Republic of China in 1997 and has practiced law since 1998.

Education

Mr. Zhang received his BE, LLM and JD from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Southwest University of Political Science and Law and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 1996, 2002 and 2016, respectively.  He was also a visiting scholar to Law School of George Washington University. At present, Mr. Zhang is an executive director of China Intellectual Property Society, member of the University- Enterprise Expert Committee of China Intellectual Property Training Center, and part-time postgraduate tutor of Peking University and Law School of Beijing foreign Studies University.
