Position
Has specialised in insurance litigation and professional indemnity in particular since 1991 as a legal assistant and subsequently as a solicitor on qualifying in 2000. The majority of his work involves advising on coverage and defending claims against professionals on behalf of their professional indemnity insurers. His background is predominantly in dealing with claims against valuers, surveyors and construction professionals. Recently handled the defence of a £32m claim against a multi-national real estate consultant. He assisted in the defence of the engineers following the Gerrards Cross Tunnel collapse. Nicolas continues to handle substantial claims against, in particular, valuers, surveyors, architects and engineers.
