LEI & MNSV, Sociedade de Advogados, Lda(LEI & ASSOCIADOS-SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS),    , is  a law firm created in 2017 and authorized by the Mozambican Bar Association to duly perform its legal services

In 2022 the law firm MNSV-Sociedade de Advogados, incorporated itself into LEI & ASSOCIADOS-SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS, Limited (LA)  an action which resulted into a retitle to what its called today LEI & MNSV-SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS.

Committed to our legal mission to provide comprehensive and professional delivery of our performance to our clients, LEI & MNSV – SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS, LIMITADA  assembles qualified professionals, including lawyers with more than 20 years of professional experience in legal area as well as lawyers with diverse legal expertise who are organized in specialized departments.

At the moment, LEI &MNSV – SOCIEDADE DE ADVOGADOS  has a team of approximately thirty professionals, divided into four departments, providing services in several areas of legal knowledge.

Department of  Litigation I

Composed of  three Lawyers That deal with civil and commercial litigation as well as provide legal advice in issues related to contracts, civil and commercial law.

Corporate Department

Composed of five members that handles with all labor matters from conciliation of parties, disciplinary proceedings, court labor proceedings which offers to clients a massive wide range of services, from strategic planning to the specific contractual treatment required by senior management, labor and corporate due diligence, as well as client representation in inspections by labor authorities, and in litigation, negotiations and labor disputes. That includes:

• Negotiation of unions;
• Elaborate / review HR policies;
• Provide comprehensive and strategic employment advice, including the process of termination of employment contracts, retention process, compensation calculation, etc.;

Administration and Commercial Department

This is a four professionals composed department which covers a wide spectrum of legal issues, including: incorporation of companies; registration of foreign commercial representations; obtaining operating licenses for companies; drafting of various types of contracts; dissolution of companies; land licenses; intellectual property (IP); competition; real estate and civil aviation; among so many others.

• Real Estate IN THE ENERGY AREA, our company provides legal assistance in connection with the Legal Study of Mozambique, IPP Procedures Framework and review of JDA, MOU, SHA, etc. The study was commercially very important and of great commercial importance. Process around 800 million US dollars.Labour sectorIn thE LABOUR AREA, the firm provided legal assistance to the largest distributor and processor of aluminum alloys in Mozambique with more than a thousand workers and thirty stores across the country. We assist the client in labor issues and expansion of investments in its commercial area. In the last 12 months, this client has expanded its empire to 5 more companies in which we carry out all the procedures to legalize them such as name reservation, registrations and obtaining operating licenses, etc.Mining Sector

  In the MINING AREA, the firm performs due diligence and prepares the respective reports on the mining project and projects related to the mining area, participating in the structuring of business projects and respective implementation. Still in the mining field, we receives cases from renowned law firms in the international market.

  Financial and insurance Sector

  IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICES AREA, we actively participates in bank credit recovery processes and we are currently managing around 100 judicial and extrajudicial recovery processes. Very recently, the firm was appointed by a banking institution, through its liquidation commission, as lawyers to recover amounts above 100 million Meticais.

  In the insurance area, we drafted studies regarding Pension Funds as well as in legal advice and legal proceedings on behalf of policyholders and insurance companies for the good defence of their interests, being currently linked to an insurance broker and two insurance companies.

  Real Estate Sector

  In the REAL ESTATE AREA, the firm has extensive experience and participates in legal assistance and advice from the beginning until the completion of investments made in this area, resolution of a series of complex disputes concerning the acquisition, construction, lease, sale and registration of apartments. The work we performed included due diligence and our duties included preparing and reviewing documents relating to purchase agreements, mortgage documents, property certificates and property transfer documents, also ensuring that the property transfer is legal, binding and in the best interest of our client, namely the land rights (DUAT) order and regularization process, construction license application and respective usage certificates, building property registers as well as the drafting of works contracts and contracts for the purchase and sale of real estate (including assistance in the entire process of transferring the Right to Property) or leasing.

  By way of example, the firm’s turnover only in the year 2019, in the scope of the purchase and sale exceeded USD 25m.
