Position

Patrick is instructed across the whole spectrum of employment law, with a particular emphasis on complex discrimination and whistleblowing cases. He principally represents large  employers, especially in the public and third sectors. Patrick represents a wide variety of clients including local authorities, international financial institutions, national public bodies and the NHS. He is commended for his effective handling of witnesses in cross-examination, particularly when that involves vulnerable parties. Patrick is routinely instructed in complex discrimination cases. He was Counsel for the Respondent in the high profile “ethical vegan” case of Jordie Casamitjana v League Against Cruel Sports in 2020, which was widely reported in the international media; and recently completed a 17-day whistleblowing trial in London Central Employment Tribunal.
