Career
Pambos is a co-founding Partner/Chairman of Ioannides Demetriou LLC.
He has wide experience in all fields of corporate, commercial, finance law, competition and administrative law offering services to major corporate clients, local and international. He acts as legal advisor to semi-governmental organisations, (such as the Cyprus Stock Exchange, The Cyprus Agricultural Payments Organisation), banks, large construction and development/engineering companies, insurance companies, hoteliers and tourism companies, shipping, oil, estate, general trading companies and a plethora of other business concerns, both foreign and domestic.
He acts as leading counsel in major local and international commercial transactions, as well as in major court and arbitration cases. Pambos also acts as an arbitrator in international and local arbitrations. Furthermore, he advises international corporations and investors in utilising Cyprus corporate vehicles and investment opportunities.
As a Courtroom litigator Pambos has litigated some of the most legally demanding and factually complex corporate litigation disputes before the Cypriot Courts. He is adept at managing teams of lawyers handling complicated cases that involve long evidence and complex legal issues.
Pambos has been rated as statesman and leading lawyer by established legal directories, including Legal 500 and Chambers.
Pambos’ expertise furthermore includes the drafting of a wide range of documents, e.g. draft laws, statutory instruments pertaining to the structuring, administration and operation of semi-governmental organisations, including the Cyprus Stock Exchange, the Agricultural Payments Organisation, the Central Bank of Cyprus; contract documentation in international transactions; tender and contract documents and studies for major infrastructure projects, including, inter alia, the ports and airports of Cyprus, tourism and development projects, shopping centres, highways, stock exchange; mergers and takeovers of banking institutions, insurance, tourism and other business concerns; joint venture of local and international corporations; syndicated loans and other banking/ financing/securities documentation; listings on the Cyprus Stock Exchange and corporate organisation documentation.
Pambos has served as a member of the board of directors of public and private companies. He is also the author of a variety of publications on Cyprus corporate and business laws, such as “Cyprus Corporate and Trust Law”, “Partnership Law of Cyprus”, “Directors Liabilities in respect of Prospectus”, “Cyprus Enterprises” and has given many lectures in seminars in Cyprus and abroad on public law subjects, corporate and business law. He is an examiner for a worldwide reputed international institution of accountants (Corporate and Business Law).
