Dr. Avishay Klein leads our firm’s Privacy, Data Protection and Cyber Department. With a background spanning academia and the private sector, including a PhD in Law & Technology, Avishay offers clients a nuanced perspective on navigating the landscape of privacy and data protection regulations. Having previously served as an in-house data protection officer for Amdocs Group, he brings firsthand knowledge of the challenges faced by enterprises in the telecommunications and software industry, enabling him to provide practical guidance on compliance with regulations such as the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and LGPD.
Avishay counsels on regulatory inquiries, crisis management, compliance programs, commercial agreements, and M&A activities, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions to their privacy and compliance-related needs.
Avishay is a co-founder of the Israel DPO Forum and a member of the Israel Tech Policy Institute’s Advisory Board. Additionally, Avishay has attained prestigious certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), including the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe) and CIPT (Certified Information Privacy Technologist).
